Oxygen Forensics Suite 2013 – Review

Oxygen Forensics Suite 2013 is a suite of tools allowing you to not only scan an entire phone for evidence but also automatically export images and reports. I’ve really just started trying out this tool and have found good and bad things about it. First off, I don’t like the fact that the tool actually downloads an application on the phone (though it does support hashing and it is used). Definitely not good.

It does seem to have accurate results and is very detail. Also, extremely user-friendly. The reporting is very detailed and even included the custom ROM I’m running. It had all my contacts and the account it was associated with, literally every file on my phone and the directory it is stored in (though this was displayed in a list and is very tedious to read), root or not rooted. I do wish the file list was setup more like a database or setup like a directory.

To get this software you actually have to sign up to the website and retrieve an invite. Here’s the link: Oxygen Forensics

I’m still working on this one….

Basic Phone information - you can even upload photosBasic overview of items located on the phone

  1. We are about to get either Paraben’s DS or Oxygen’s suite. Sadly not many real reviews online. Reps are not going in to real details as well. Do you mind contacting us, as we would definitely appreciate feedback from real user. Thanks.
